Neurodivergent Students Feel Unheard at WSU: How to Support Students with Differences

Wright State University is home to a diverse student population. As the third-ranked university in the nation for disability accessibility, it is easy to assume that students could expect a fully inclusive space at WSU. However, some students do not feel this way, especially those with invisible disabilities. To raise awareness for neurodivergence, a group of such students approached the Guardian with their experiences as Raiders.

SGA's Resolution to Support DEI: Intentions, Vote and Outcome

Senate Bill 1 was signed into Ohio law on March 28. It states that public universities cannot maintain diversity, equity and inclusion offices, and ends requirements for DEI training. Wright State University, as a public institution, would be one of the many universities affected. Due to the vagueness of the law, many have questioned what aspects of WSU student life will be impacted, the Student Government Association stepped up to resolve this matter as much as it can right now.

Annual NPHC Bonfire: A Night for Community

On Friday, April 11, the National Pan-Hellenic Council held its annual bonfire on campus at Wright State University. It was a time for snacks, community engagement and music. Many people gathered around the fire to talk and share culture and community.

While many surrounding universities have different takes on AI usage, much of Wright State University's student’s acceptable AI usage is dependent on the professor.

Author of “Katharine, the Wright Sister” Tracey Enerson Wood, came to Wright State University to do a reading from her book, as well as talk about her researching and writing processes, answer questions and sign copies of her book. She shared about her inspiration, holding a clear passion for Katherine Wright's often overlooked story.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month (CAP). This month aims to prevent and bring awareness to child abuse and neglect. Many organizations both on and off campus are hosting events and opportunities to shine a light on prevention.

Cierra Lively Graduating As A Wright State University Track Legend

Cierra Lively, a senior and track and field star at WSU, will be leaving with a legacy to remember. Coming from Hillsboro, Ohio, she has made a tidal wave of success for herself, becoming one of the best high jumpers in Horizon League History. Lively competed in indoor and outdoor track and field all four years at WSU; each year she competed, she continuously strived for success, not only for herself, but for her team as well.
