What makes a strong tip

The best tips are specific, verifiable, and tied to the Wright State community. Tell us what happened, who was involved, when and where it happened, and why it matters.

  • Names, titles, and units (if known)
  • Dates, times, and locations
  • How you learned it
  • What evidence exists and where it came from
Attach if you can
  • Emails, letters, memos, or screenshots

  • Policies, notices, or official documents

If you request anonymity, we will work to protect your identity and will not publish identifying details without discussing it with you first.

  • Avoid using university-issued devices or networks.
  • Use a personal device and personal internet connection.
  • Limit identifying details when first reaching out.
  • Consider a new email address used only for tip-sharing.
  • Do not tell others you are a source.
