Aswangs are a traditional creature in Filipino folklore, but these monsters are complex and diverse shape-shifters, making them somewhat difficult to define. There are many common traits that aswangs may share, with lots of interpretations and beliefs about the beasts and their diverse abilities. In Filipino folklore, they take on many different roles in storytelling, all of which are interesting narrative devices for the overall mythology.

Miracle Makers put on Raiderthon every spring, making it a beloved tradition at Wright State University. The goal of this twelve-hour long dance marathon event is to raise money for Dayton Children’s Hospital. Events vary slightly each year, which may leave students wondering what the 2025 Raiderthon will look like as they continue to get excited for the event.
The St. John Bosco Chapel, near the walkway to the Woods dormitories, may not catch the eye of many people who are non-religious or practice a different religion. However, those interested may learn that it is an open environment that is ready to both have tough talks about religion and make lighthearted jokes with those in attendance.

As midterm week approached, the Honors community wanted to give students the opportunity to learn helpful ways to deal with stress while enjoying a sweet treat by hosting their event in the Honors dorm on Friday, Feb. 21. Because of these new rules and regulations, many universities shut down their programs and identity centers immediately. With Wright State University's student-centric ideologies and claims, it is only natural that they did not take this approach. However, with the current state of the country, students are left uncertain about what the future of WSU's beloved Cultural and Identity Centers might be.

On Monday, Feb. 17, students packed into 009 Student Success for Condom Bingo, an evening of games, snacks and candid conversations about sexual health. Organized by RCA in collaboration with the Women's Center, Counseling and Wellness, the LGBTQA Center, and Title IX, the event aimed to educate students on topics like consent, contraception and sexual violence—all through the fun and interactive format of bingo.
Wright State University's Counseling and Wellness Services offers a wide variety of resources to all students, including a variety of group therapy sessions for various identity groups. There is also one which is open to everyone, focusing on mindfulness with a new activity each week. They held their second weekly meeting of the semester on Wednesday, Feb. 19, with the activity of mindful coloring.
The Troupe Club is a student-led organization at Wright State University that allows all students with a love for theater and the arts to perform and grow together, as well as express themselves, regardless of majors.
The biological sciences department is currently hosting a series of Wednesday seminars, which are to allow graduate and some undergraduate students to present their research in a less-stressful environment to help them prepare for larger audiences.
Wright State University's Student Government Association is always looking for aspects of student life that they can help improve. Recently, they passed a resolution to put free menstrual products in bathrooms on campus. Since then, they have been raising awareness by asking students to sign their petition as further proof to WSU that this is a necessary resource.
The Student Involvement and Leadership Center wrapped up “Leadership Week” on Saturday, Feb. 15, after hosting several events. One of these events was Relationships that Lead, which was hosted to help students build healthy relationships both in and out of their on-campus organizations.

On Monday, Feb. 10, the first day of Wright State University's leadership week, a discussion was held about inclusive leadership. The title was "Creating Space: Inclusive Leadership for a Stronger Pack," and it delved into topics about diversity, equity, and inclusion. Most importantly, it talked about how to create an inclusive community as a leader.
