What: Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. Where: Portions of east central Indiana, including the following county, Wayne and Ohio, including the following counties, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Delaware, Franklin, Greene, Hardin, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby and Union. When: From midnight EDT tonight through Thursday afternoon. Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Additional Details: Multiple rounds of rain will occur overnight into Thursday. The heavier bands of rainfall will have 2 to 4 inches with locally higher amounts. Precautionary and preparedness actions: People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for: Northern Preble County in west central Ohio, South central Darke County in west central Ohio, Northwestern Montgomery County in west central Ohio. Until 615 PM EDT. At 529 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near New Madison, moving east at 30 mph. Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts. Source: Radar indicated. Impact: Expect damage to trees and power lines. Locations impacted include: Eaton, Lewisburg, West Alexandria, Clayton, Brookville, New Lebanon, Phillipsburg, Eldorado, Verona, West Manchester, Gordon, Ithaca, Castine, Oklahoma, Interstate 70 at US Route 127, Pyrmont, and New Hope. This includes I-70 in Ohio between mile markers 4 and 23. Precautionary and preparedness actions: For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Until 615 PM EDT. At 536 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near St. Paris, moving east at 25 mph. Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts. Source: Radar indicated. Impact: Expect damage to trees and power lines. Locations impacted include: Springfield, Urbana, Northridge, St. Paris, Christiansburg, Tremont City, Thackery, Westville, Kiser Lake State Park, Millerstown, Terre Haute, Lawrenceville, and Dialton. Precautionary and preparedness actions: For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
