Fire, Theft and Harassment: Campus Crime Notes for March 3 to 16

There were several crimes that took place on Wright State University (WSU) Dayton campus between the days of March 3 to 16. Some of these crimes include phone harassment, theft and other related incidences.

 A fire broke out in Millett Hall on March 3 at approximately 9:15 a.m. The fire was quickly extinguished and reports were taken.

WSU Police Department (WSUPD) responded to reports of theft inside of Maple Hall, a residential hall located in The Woods. This incident dates back to Dec. 11. The perpetrator was caught around 3 p.m. However, the victim declined prosecution. This follows reports of theft in the same residence hall on Feb. 27 at approximately 1:15 p.m.

On March 10, at approximately 12:55 a.m., there were cases of assaults and telephone harassment. This crime is not pinned down to one location on Dayton's campus. Due to the nature of the case, this is still an ongoing situation.

In University Hall, there was a case of a liquor fence which included an open container. According to reports, the WSUPD found the open container in the hall at approximately 5:30 p.m. All leads were exhausted when trying to find the culprit.

The Medical Science building saw a case of property damage on Mar. 10. The incident happened at approximately 3:01 p.m. WSUPD responded on scene, but all leads were exhausted on this case.

On March 8 at approximately 11 p.m., there were reports of littering in the Nutter Center Parking Lot 8. All leads were exhausted and the perpetrator was not found.
