Whether it is with a pal or partner, here are some events and ideas to share with a loved one in the Valentine’s Day season.
Hearts and Crafts
An on-campus option is Hearts and Crafts with the African American Residential Caucus on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Honors Plaza. The AARC and attendees can handcraft gifts for loved ones to give on Valentine's Day.
Puppy Kissing Booth
Before going to The Landing party, stop by the Puppy Kissing Booth by Raider Pups the day before. On Feb. 13 from 12 to 2 p.m., 4 Paws for Ability puppies distribute kisses in the Hearth Lounge. Cash donations are accepted but not required.
The Landing Valentine Party
Another on-campus event is A Valentine Party for Anyone in The Landing student lounge. Activities include coloring, conversations and more. The H20 church is hosting the event from 7 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 14.
“Moulin Rouge” at The Neon
Enjoy French wines and a Pâtisserie Bar on Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. in local Dayton theater The Neon. The $30 tickets to the screening of “Moulin Rouge” includes wine and dessert. Tickets sell out fast for this coveted event.
Valentines Dine and Skate
The Riverscape Ice Skate will set a romantic scene on Feb. 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. After skating to your classic love songs, head over to 2nd Street Market for a four-course meal from 6:30 to 8 p.m. with magician entertainment. Tickets are $50 per person.
Valentines Paint and Sip
Hosted by Picture Perfect Paint Parties, this event provides painting, karaoke, line dancing, popcorn and punch. Tickets start at $37 with an extra $14 for optional wine. The location is123 North Ludlow Street in Dayton on Feb. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Valentine’s Under the Stars
Take your local STEM major or star enthusiast for the Valentines Under the Stars event at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. Experience a live show in the planetarium that includes a never-before-seen Valentine’s show, a charcuterie spread, champagne, keepsake photo and rose. Tickets are $75 per couple for either of the two shows at 6:30 p.m. or 8 p.m. on Feb. 14.
