According to Associated Press projections, Ohio voters have rejected Issue 1 during the special election held today. Issue 1 would have increased the simple majority (50% + 1) required to pass state constitutional amendments to 60%, among other potential new stipulations. AP has called the race with 47% of votes currently counted.
