Want to see them play? Athletics is providing transportation

Wright State students have an opportunity to come out and support their teams next week for free.

As of right now, busing will be provided to the men’s game Monday. After the women play their game today and Thursday more information will become available if they make it to the tournament.

Athletics will be providing a bus both Monday and Tuesday of the tournament. They are also partnering up with Student Affairs this year to provide Tim Hortons.

Last year students took the trip to Detroit, Michigan for the Horizon League tournament where both our men’s and women’s basketball teams played. The women’s team won 55-52 against the Green Bay Phoenix and the men’s team was defeated by Northern Kentucky 77-66.

This year the tournament will be held on March 8 and 9 in Indianapolis, Indiana at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

“It’s important for us to support our athletic teams and it’s an awesome opportunity to be able to see them play,” Ivan Mallett, Student Government President said. “If we win the Horizon tournament then we can go back to March Madness this year.”

According to Mallett, transportation will be provided for both games as long as the teams are in the tournament. To secure a spot on the bus students are encouraged to fill out this form: https://forms.gle/7tcVJyP1dPP8E9566
