Wright State was on the right end of a comeback Tuesday evening, when the men’s soccer team rallied to win 3-2 against IPFW.
Two of the previous three games for the Raiders (10-6-1, Horizon 4-3-1) ended in agonizing defeat as Wright State surrendered goals late in the game and walked away winless. Tuesday, Nov. 3 they got a chance to avenge those losses.
Trailing 0-2 for 35 minutes, Raiders junior forward Peguy Ngatcha found the net for his sixth goal of the season on an assist by junior forward Eric Lynch. For the next 35 minutes it appeared the Raiders would lose their fourth straight game.
That is, until the comeback was staged.
Sophomore forward Jalim Bayo got his first goal of the season on an assist from Ngatcha at the 70-minute mark. Roughly 15 minutes later, it was Bayo’s assist to senior forward Bret Elder that brought things full circle for Wright State.
The Raiders close out the season Friday, Nov. 6 against Oakland (7-8-1, Horizon 4-3-1). Kick off is at 7 p.m. at Alumni Field.
