Volleyball falls 3-0 to Youngstown State

Wright State’s Volleyball team fell to Youngstown State Tuesday evening in just three sets.

Even though the Raiders lost each set, they were never at the mercy of the Penguins. With scores of 25-22, 25-23 and 27-25, there were times Wright State looked to be the better team on the court, just failing to close out their opponent.

The first set saw nine ties and five lead changes.  Followed by seven and three in the second set and 11 and four in the third. Clear indications of not being as overwhelmed as a 0-3 score would indicate.

Sophomore offensive hitter Katie Klusman led all players with 42 attacks to go along with seven kills.

Wright State (12-10, 1-6), usually good at home, fell to 8-5 at McLin Gymnasium.

Their next game is at home against Oakland on Oct. 17 against Oakland at 4 p.m for Senior Night.
