Men's Soccer Falls to Kentucky

The Wright State Men’s soccer team traveled to Lexington, Ky. Friday evening to take on the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Wright State (2-1) fell to the Wildcats (2-0) on a goal by UK’s Andrew McKelvey at the 80th minute.

Sophomore midfielder AJ Paterson, at the 18:36 mark, scored Wright State’s lone goal. The goal, Paterson’s first of the season, was assisted by sophomore defender Austin Polster.

UK’s Noah Hutchins tied the game at 1-1 at 56:15 on a goal assisted by both Andrew McKelvey and Jordan Wilson.

Kentucky outshot the Raiders with a 13-8 shot advantage, as well as a 4-1 advantage on shots on goal.

The Raiders come back home to Alumni Field Monday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. for their match against the University of Cincinnati.
