WSU releases MBB schedule

Wright State announced its men’s basketball nonconference schedule for the upcoming season Wednesday that featured few surprises as most programs have previously released their schedules.

The nonconference slate is highlighted by a visit to Ohio State Dec. 27, and home games against Belmont on Nov. 14 and George Mason on Dec. 23.

But the downside of the nonconference schedule is it only features three home games versus Division I opponents. The Raiders host Division II opponents Ohio Dominican Nov. 16 and Urbana Dec. 7.

The season kicks off with an exhibition game against Findlay on Nov. 7. The regular season begins with the home tilt against Belmont. The Raiders visit Belmont Dec. 11. The Bruins are coming off a 26-win season.

The Raiders have a stretch of six straight on the road including three at a tournament hosted by USC Upstate over Thanksgiving weekend.

The Raiders visit instate rival Bowling Green Nov. 19 and will host the Miami RedHawks Dec. 14.

A request for comment from head coach Billy Donlon was left with a WSU spokesperson.
