“I don’t care if people don’t like my outfit,” Chizever says. “Not in the slightest.”
Chizever sits in a pair of black Levi skinnies and a short-sleeved Oxford with a plaid flannel thrown overtop. His knees bounce as he motions to his shoes.
“I have a pair of low top classic Cons. They’re a little rustic because there’s dirt on the sides showing the shoes have experience,” Chizever says. “Every shoe and every lace has a story. They tell stories because they’ve been places.”
Chizever is the social coordinator for an Apex house church that meets on campus called RegionU every other Friday night. He describes himself as ‘brogetic,’ which is his combination of a bro and energetic. The end product? The neo-classic hipster.
“A neo-classical hipster contrasts ‘throw back’ with modern and it infuses somewhere in the middle to create some sort of fashion fusion that no one has seen before,” Chizever says.
