There are only so many bars you can visit on St. Patrick’s Day, and beer is available year-round. Break the mold on March 17 and take a swim with the sharks.
The Dayton Sharks are the Continental Indoor Football League’s (CIFL) Dayton, Ohio Indoor Football team. They will be at the Hara Arena this Sunday, squaring off against the Kentucky Drillers at 4 p.m. They are currently on a 4-0 winning streak.
A group of WSU film students will attend, both acting as ushers and filming the game.
Motion Pictures major Dominick Evans will be among the students there. He is gearing up to direct his own short film, “Trip.”
“It is prestigious that Dominick’s film was selected, but we have to fund it ourselves,” Motion Pictures major and producer Kasey Beggs said. “The donations made by the community and the Sharks are one step toward making ‘Trip’ the best film possible.”
Tickets range from $6 to $12.50. Beggs encourages any attendees to greet the film crew. They will also be accepting donations to support “Trip.”
It will be in a warm, all-ages environment, Miss Ohio will attend, attendants can support fellow students and there will be green beer.
