“It’s like Craigslist for college, but way better,” said Jared Banz, who takes on marketing for the company and is one of the founders.

Gone are the days of frantically searching for a truck to carry that huge couch you found on Craigslist, anxiously waiting for a textbook to arrive from Amazon or cringing at the cost of that Amazon textbook.
The site is set up so that only students with an .edu email may sign up, which eliminates the issue of false advertising. Google and Facebook accounts can be used for quick and easy login. Even better, the only thing necessary to post or buy textbooks is the ISBN. The website then produces everything about the book that you, as a seller or buyer, need to know. Additionally, the team is already anticipating being able to progress to scanning a book’s barcode for quick uploading.
“We have a bright future of expanding our boundaries,” Banz said. After only one month of being live, this easily maneuverable and aesthetically pleasing website has already been contacted by an international school.
The impact of Postify is quickly on the rise. “The team atmosphere is amazing. I’ve never worked with such talented people,” Banz said. Indeed, the fact that they have progressed from an idea only eight months ago to a full-blown website is remarkable, especially given how young the team is. Right now, the only challenge is getting students used to the idea of using Postify as a platform for their classifieds needs. “We have a great system, but if no one is posting, no one is looking,” Banz said.
