Recently, 7 Brew dropped a building on Colonel Glenn Hwy.
The 7 Brew on Fairfield Commons opened in late October of 2024 and has been popular amongst the community since. They aim to open a few more in the local area. Most recently, the company secured the space across from the nearby Meijer at 3919 Colonel Glenn Hwy, where they dropped the stand on the land on Sept. 11 with a crane.
However, it was not an easy win. Jonathan Wocher represented the client, 7 Brew, at the Beavercreek City Council meeting in Feb. 2026. Wocher requested the council look at the request a second time, as they tabled the topic in Oct. 2025. At the meeting, Wocher established the changes admitted to in the request, yet seemed to avoid the concerns of the council and public.
City Council member Pete Bales, the President of Local Gov. Consultants LLC, had opinions to surface.
“I appreciate 7 Brew and they’re super popular, but on the flip side I receive a lot of complaints,” Bale said. “I brought this up on April 22, 2024, for the current 7 Brew.”
Nonetheless, the traffic concerns have been present since the opening of the new 7 Brew. Another council member, Glen Duer, brings up the traffic issues at Fairfield Commons.
“It is dangerous at the first location and we often leave the site and go elsewhere,” Duer said.
With I-675 just down the road, traffic can be expected busier during rush hours, but Wocher planned to have traffic directed down Germany Lane as opposed to Colonel Glenn Hwy. The 7 Brew was approved in July and is expected to open by the end of 2026.
When asked about 7 Brew’s plans for traffic mitigation, Matt Books, the Director of Operations for Brew Team Ohio did not quite answer the question about a direct plan.
“We are grateful for the reception we’ve received from the Beavercreek community as we’ve continued our expansion in the area. Our more than 75 Brew Crew team members strive to provide a kind and memorable experience for our customers and all our neighbors. To support that goal, we continue to work closely with city officials around any congestion to help create a smooth experience for everyone in the area,” Books said.
Annie Smith, the Account Coordinator at REED Public Relations, sent the Wright State Guardian an email containing information on anticipated jobs.

Nonetheless, the stand will be in close-distance to Meijer and Wright State University.
