Live Updates: Wright State vs. Virginia

Wright State University (WSU) is up against Virginia University (UV) at 1:50 p.m. for the first round of the NCAA March Madness Tournament. The game is held at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.

You can listen live on WWSU 106.9 FM. A pre-game show featuring The Guardian will start at 1:30 p.m. and there will be a post-show closely following the game. 

Wright State University is also holding a watch party in the Student Union Atrium from 1 to 4 p.m. 

First Half

WSU Soloman Callaghan, number 13 makes a 3 and puts the Raiders in the lead with a score of 16 to 13.

Michael Imariagbe, WSU number 33, made a layup, adding to the score of 24 to 23.

UV took a momentary lead, but WSU's TJ Burch, number 22, ties it up, adding a three-pointer after making the score 29 to 27.

Callaghan with another three makes it 39 to 36.

WSU finishes the first half in the lead, at 43 to 38.

Second Half

A foul was called on UV for a travel, was challenged and overturned for a flagrant foul on number 33, Imariagbe. UV's number 30 made both foul shots, making the score 53 to 55.

Dominic Pangonis, number 3 for WSU, added a three, resecuring the lead with a score of 56 to 55.

Another three was added by Imariagbe, and then turned over by number 22, Burch, with an and one. 

Pangoinis was fouled, and heads to the foul line.

Burch scores again with a three-pointer, bringing the score to 66 to 67.

WSU with a block, Burch taking the lead, with a score of 68 to 67.

A ball was thrown at Burch, leading to UV being given a technical foul. Burch made both shots.

UV then headed to the foul line for two freethrows.

Imariagbe scored a three, for a score of 73 to 78.

The game ended with a final score of 73 to 82, with UV taking the win.
