The USWNT will face off against Vietnam, Netherlands and the group A winner, according to the announcement. Although match play is not scheduled to begin until July 22, 2023, the team is happy about how the draw played out.
“I’m excited about our draw because this is where the real preparation starts,” USWNT head coach Vlatko Andonovski said in the release.
Global
British Prime Minister Liz Truss announced resignation plans on Oct. 20, after just six weeks in office following the resignation of previous Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
In recent days, conflict arose in the British Parliament over Truss’ economic policies.
“I am a fighter and not a quitter,” Truss asserted before Parliament aimed disruptions on Oct. 20. “I have acted in the national interest to make sure that we have economic stability.”
Truss made a statement outside the Prime Minister’s residence stating an inability to deliver on interests of economic stability and national security.
“We set out a vision for a low tax, high growth economy – that would take advantage of the freedoms of Brexit. I recognise though, given the situation, I cannot deliver the mandate on which I was elected by the Conservative Party,” Truss said in a statement.
Truss will remain in office as Prime Minister until a successor has been chosen.
