What: Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. Where: Portions of east central Indiana, including the following county, Wayne and Ohio, including the following counties, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Delaware, Franklin, Greene, Hardin, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby and Union. When: From midnight EDT tonight through Thursday afternoon. Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Additional Details: Multiple rounds of rain will occur overnight into Thursday. The heavier bands of rainfall will have 2 to 4 inches with locally higher amounts. Precautionary and preparedness actions: People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.

BREAKING: WSU Announces Dr. Milligan as Next VPAA and Dean of Graduate School

Wright State University (WSU) announced the appointment of Dr. Barry Milligan as vice provost of Academic Affairs and dean of the Graduate School.

This appointment is a part of a larger effort to fill multiple vacant positions in WSU upper administration. 

Experience

Before his promotion, Dr. Milligan served as the interim dean of the Graduate School and as a WSU English professor. Dr. Milligan was also part of the Faculty Senate and served on the review board for the College of Liberal Arts and English programming. 

Before coming to WSU, Dr. Milligan received his master's and doctorate in English at Duke University and is well versed in English and the Liberal Arts.

Duties  

Dr. Milligan will continue his work in the Graduate School and in the Division of Academic Affairs while working closely with the new Interim Provost Oliver Evans as well as Cheryl Meyer, Lafleur Small, and Tammy Kahrig, all of whom are vice provosts. Dr. Milligan will also continue working with faculty, staff and students.
