During the early morning hours of Feb. 14, a shooting occurred outside of the Cimarron Woods Apartments located off of Zink Rd. in Fairborn.
The suspect, 19-year-old Halijah McBeth, fired his weapon in the parking lot of the Cimarron Woods Apartments outside of a party that occurred that night.
The victim was shot in the arm and taken to a local hospital by friends before police arrived on the scene. The injury was deemed to be non-life threatening.
McBeth has been charged with Felonious Assault and Having Weapons Under Disability. The latter charge was added due to prior convictions on McBeth’s record.
The incident is still under investigation.
