Couples channels on YouTube aren’t a new phenomenon in today’s modern age, but it is rare to see a channel quite like “Josh&Sav.”
“Josh&Sav” is a YouTube channel ran by couple Josh and Savannah Alexander, nee Timeus. Their content consists of pranks, Q&As, vlogs and challenges.
With over 100 videos on their channel I thought that it would be helpful to recommend my five favorites, as a starter pack of sorts.
“I Made A Fake Account & My Boyfriend Had No Idea…”
This video sees Sav attempting to prank Josh by creating a fake Instagram account and messaging him. Without giving too much away I’ll say that the video is a low-key whirlwind and should have you on the edge of your seat, bed, couch or other seating arrangement.
“Things Interracial Couples Understand…”
This is a lighthearted video that slightly exaggerates commonalities found in interracial relationships. Throughout, we see Josh and Sav playing out different scenarios as skits. It’s a funny video and puts the couple’s chemistry on display as they play off each other well.
“Picked Up My Future Husband in An Uber Under Disguise”
This prank isn’t real; knowing that this prank is fake doesn’t take away from the enjoyment factor though. Sav’s Uber voice is a highlight as is Josh’s constant denial of her requests for massages. The one question that I kept yelling at the tv was “why haven’t you got out yet?” Again, not a real prank, but still.
“The Pause Challenge with Boyfriend”
This is a challenge that I would love to try one day. There are so many opportunities in life where getting paused would be terrible. Like if you’re on the hood of a steaming car as someone is driving for instance. Or if you’re walking across the street and then suddenly before you can completely cross, you’re paused.
“What Youtubers Don’t Show You”
I love blooper reels. I think that they are great at giving the audience a peek at the realities of making something. The first blooper reel that I remember seeing was from “Rush Hour,” which is also one of my favorite movies. In this video, Josh and Sav show off some of the bloopers that don’t make it on the first cut.
