Dayton area doctors offer free skin cancer screenings

May is Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month, and local dermatologists are offering free skin cancer screenings in various locations around the Dayton Area from Monday, May 9 to Friday, May 13.

According to the WSU events calendar, these screenings are designed to promote early detection and prevention of skin cancer.

Students will not need to travel far, as the Boonshoft School of Medicine Department of Dermatology will be offering free screenings on Monday, May 9 and Wednesday, May 11 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The screenings will be held in the Wright State Physicians building at 725 University Blvd.

There are four other participating locations at different times throughout that week, for those that are unavailable during those times. More information on locations, dates and times can be found on the university events calendar.

To schedule a screening with Wright State Physicians or at the other locations contact CareFinders at 1-866-608-3463.
