Dayton's only Krispy Kreme to close

The only Dayton location for the national doughnut chain Krispy Kreme will be closing on Sunday, Jan. 31.

Krispy Kreme

Despite the opening of new shops across the country and in both Guatemala and Scotland, the Dayton-based location will effectively close its doors for the last time this next coming Sunday. Krispy Kreme doughnuts sold in local grocery stores will still be available to customers.

The doughnut shop is located at 2001 E. Dorothy Lane in Kettering, Ohio and has serviced the area for almost 17 years (1999). The Cincinnati and three Columbus locations are not affected by a downsize and will remain open.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts were ranked as the fourth most reputable hospitality company in the nation by the Reputation Institute, just behind stores like Panera and Subway.
