WWSU automation running again

The automation programming for the Wright State radio station WWSU is back up and running after a back up hard drive was discovered last night, according to an email sent to WWSU DJs Friday night.

The station's hard drive crashed early Thursday morning, sending the directors searching for a way to solve the problem.

The automation programing provides content such as automated music play, top-of-the-hour updates, FCC-required station identification, show promos and public service announcements, according to WWSU General Manager Shannon McGrath.

Former Engineer Jason Johnson had knowledge of the back up external hard drive that got the automation up and running again, according to the email. Former WWSU general manager H.R. Downey also commented on The Guardian's Facebook page in response to the story involving the hard drive crash, asking "What happened to the external hard drive we had as a back-up just this past spring?"

Saturday night the station provided the music for the Residential Community Association (RCA) Boogie on the Bricks, a dance held for Wright State students.
