Alum Cheri Crothers (class of ’73) recently visited WSU to participate in the inaugural Alumni Speakers Series sponsored by the WSU Office of Alumni Relations. Crothers’s shared her experiences as an original founder of WSU’s Model UN team, advocate for woman’s issues and campaign experiences supporting both Democratic and Republican candidates. Crother’s contributions to WSU continue to shape students lives and reflect the success of Wright State students. The Model UN team continues a legacy of success by winning the highest honors at annual National Model UN conference in New York City for over three decades. She continues to use the skills acquired as a WSU student, highlighting the ability to communicate diplomatically and understanding how international organizations function. Crother’s commitment to advocating for woman’s issues and her achievements in the political arena are representative of the high quality of WSU alumni.
