Gov. DeWine announces closing of more businesses, voting extended


On Monday, Governor Mike DeWine announced sweeping new changes to the operations of businesses and voting in Ohio.

Businesses

The governor asked any type of entertainment businesses to close such as trampoline parks, bowling alleys, indoor water parks and movie theatres.

Gyms and fitness centers will also be asked to close after today.

Voting

During the press conference, residents will have an extension to voting until June 2.

The governor suspended in-person voting ahead of Tuesday's polls opening.

According to officials, the goal is to prevent the spread between poll workers and voters.

Ohio residents were encouraged to vote by mail.
