Nutter Center's 25th anniversary schedule line-up

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Wright State Nutter Center, the venue will host eight events in six days.

The year-long festivities kicked off this past Tuesday evening with a men’s basketball game, in which the Raiders defeated Albion College 68-50.

Wednesday the Nutter Center celebrated with a 25th anniversary open house, welcoming faculty, staff, and alumni. The event was also attended by WSU President Dr. Hopkins, Sen. Chris Widener, Rep. Niraj Antani and many others.

Last night the arena hosted Christian Pop/Rock band, Newsboys and their “We Believe God’s Not Dead" fall tour.

Hoops action will return Friday in a double-header with the both the men’s and women’s teams seeing action. The women will take on Butler University beginning at 5 p.m. and the men will follow that action up with a contest against Georgia State University at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday the Nutter Center will host an annual performer Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) and their “Ghosts of Christmas Eve Tour”. TSO will be doing two shows on Saturday, the first will be at 3 p.m. and the second will be at 8 p.m.

Sunday comedian Jeff Dunham will bring his “Perfectly Unbalance Tour” to the Nutter Center culminating the six day stretch.

The arena will remain busy with “Country Bands Together” event featuring Little Big Town and Big and Rich, for a charity concert benefiting Dayton Children’s Hospital on Dec. 12

The Nutter Center has lots more in store, bringing acts such as Fallout Boy and Lil Wayne to Dayton, already scheduled to appear in 2016.
