An armed robbery occurred Tuesday around 7:15 p.m. near the footbridge that leads from Forest Lane to the Cimarron Apartment complex, according to the Wright State University Police Department.
The victim described the assailant as being "an African-American male, standing 5’7” to 5’8” tall, medium build, about 20 years old, and wearing dark clothing."
The alleged criminal brandished a silver handgun, stole the victim's cellphone and backpack and fled in the direction of Zink road, according to the victim.
The Wright State and Fairborn police had no further information on the incident when reached.
Since the incident occurred off-campus, those with information about the crime are asked to call the Fairborn Police Department at (937) 754-3000.
